About the Masculine Mystique

The Masculine Mystique is the belief that a particular set of behaviors and powers are the embodiment of manhood. The Masculine Mystique has no basis in natural male biology. Rather it is a fabrication, grounded in tradition, that is used to maintain social inequity. The sole purpose of the Masculine Mystique is to preserve the power of elites at the expense of the poor, and especially women. In return for embracing the Masculine Mystique, society entitles men to the indiscriminate abuse of women. In return for dominance over women, men beholden to the Masculine Mystique must forfeit their own humanity, both through the unfeeling cruelty that they must embody to keep dominance over women, and through the surrendering of individuality to the relentless hierarchy that they in turn must obey.
In order to become fully human, men must reject the Masculine Mystique. Men must accept women fully into society as humans who are identical to themselves. Men must give up the entitlement of sexual access to any women they encounter, and take responsibility for the rape and abuse that they have wrought upon the whole of women across the globe.
In short, men cannot find intimacy, men cannot find feeling, men cannot feel good about themselves, men cannot be anything but afraid of other men, men cannot free themselves from the guilt of being monsters, men cannot free themselves from a life in which their only purpose is to kill and to die, men cannot create a new life that isn't circumscribed by obedience, fear, war, loneliness, and death until they defy the Masculine Mystique and unite with women to end the tragedy that they have created; by stopping rape and violence against women in all its forms.

Men are easily incited to anger and easily let into war. It is their own fault for being such sheeple. They cut off their noses to spite their faces by degrading women and clinging to male dominance.
ReplyDeleteWomen don't NEED to put up with this any longer. 33% of US households have a woman making more than the man. In 2004 women owned more money in the UK than men - I don't know what it is now. In urban centres that have more white collar jobs, women are starting to out earn men, women are getting more degrees and PhD's than men, women will rise in the positions of power as the baby boomers retire. The point is, MRA's spewing hate propaganda at women are just driving women to dig their heels in more. To reject men in every possible way until and unless they smarten up and look at their own misdeeds as the reason they are so dissociated and spiritually vacuous. Women used to be there for men to vent on - sexually, psychologically, physically, emotionally, financially and women made a comfortable home for men to retreat to where they were king but that is ending. Women are initiating 75% of divorces. I'd be interested to know what percentage of men can even get a girlfriend these days let along have one marry them.
Men are alone and loveless and sexless and don't have the obedience and deferential treatment at home that they used to almost be guaranteed (because women were so dependent) and they are bitter about it - so terribly at a lost that there are umpteen websites and mens groups saying how horrible women are and how terribly downtrodden men are when the thing they should be talking about is ENDING THE MONSTROUS THINGS MEN DO TO WOMEN THAT SO CALLED GOOD MEN SAY AND DO NOTHING ABOUT. Men go to war happily for all kinds of dishonorable reasons or to liberate some oppressed populous but when have they ever liberated women. No they didn't "give" us the vote. We pried it out of their grasping fists. Do they really think women care if they are unhappy now after what they put us through?
They are trying to close the gate after the filly has bolted.
